ALERT (Updated 2:35pm, Mon, Feb 8) - For Tuesday and Wednesday, Fairfax public schools and OLLI at Tallwood and Reston are closed. For Tuesday through Friday, Loudoun public schools and OLLI  at Loudoun are closed.
(Use your browser's "refresh" or "reload" option each time you visit this page to be sure you are viewing the most up-to-date information.)

Rescheduling . . . due to weather cancellations is underway.
  • History Club February meeting is rescheduled to Wed, Feb 24, at 2:00.
  • Special Event 958, Fundamental Teachings of the Mormon Church, rescheduled to Friday, Feb 26, at 1:00.
A mock election . . . to test online voting for Board of Directors elections is the lead story in E-News this week. Try it out. And if you come away wondering what Lorem Ipsum is, the answer is here.

Debbie Halverson . . . writes about the upcoming Valentine Party (Friday, Feb 19, 1:00 at Tallwood. RSVP to the office by Feb 12). What you can expect:
  • Ice cream and toppings
  • Fresh fruit and other sweets
  • Variety show and photographer's corner
  • "Kisses the Klown"
The spring term catalog . . . is online now.
  • Click Catalog in the Quick Links, or just click here to view it.
  • The printed catalog should show up in your mailbox in about two weeks.
30 miles per hour . . . is the speed limit on Roberts Road between Tallwood and Braddock Road. Be aware that a parked Mason police cruiser with a radar gun was observed recently just south of Tallwood. A similar Mason unit was spotted closer to Braddock issuing a ticket to a motorist. Now we hear an OLLI member was ticketed in the Tallwood parking lot for speeding on Roberts Road. Slow down, people. The road is hilly, narrow and dangerous.

An OLLI bulletin board . . . is available for members. You can learn all about it in E-News, or just click on "Bulletin Board" up there on the left in the Quick Links (also on the Home Page).
